Hi folks, Hi Gord,

Gord I actually thought ( I can do that from time to time) #17 would throw you for a loop. You're getting good at this aren't you? #4 I have taken before under a different day. In fact you made comment about that pic. In it you could see what it actually was. This one a little different, different time, different day and different lighting. I have taken many pictures over and over again as time and season change. Most of my shots are from the same places - shore and park. Don't get around much these days. I would like to go to the city and see what I could find there. Just never seem to have the time. Oh well, it should still be around when I do.

I would like to do some people shots but I feel that I may be intruding and I don't like to be a bother to anyone. I would have to ask permission first if I were to present any here on this blog. Too many people being disrespectful of other people's privacy on the net these days. What I wouldn't want done of me I have no right to do to others. Something I live by. I believe we should all do the same. As a youth my father always told me to wear another's shoes before I went ahead , said or did something to another. I try very, very hard to live up to his words for they ware very wise words. If I were to offend another would I not also be offending myself? Now that is not to say I don't slip up. I can and do that at times but I have learned to apologize for it. I find that in apologizing for our errors and mistakes that something is gained by it. I have also found that in most cases people are willing to accept your apology. Of course it has to be a truthful and sincere one. Yes we all screw up from time to time and all it takes to make amends is to own up to it. I know I have never held a grudge against anyone who has offered an apology to me even tho I have had few. I don't go looking for one either but I don't forget as well. In any event I still hold no grudges. Just live and learn from it. People are as they are and I have no right to try and change them unless asked for help. It is their decision to make how they do things and not mine. The only business I need mind , really, is my own. As I said, be a helping hand if asked but otherwise mind your own business. Keeps me out of trouble most times. I don't like trouble but will face it when I have to and I don't like confrontations either. Saw too many of them when I was growing up and to this day it still has it's effects. I'd rather be the referee than one of the combatants. You see my father also told me this ( he was boxer at one time) - it is the brave man that walks away from the fight. That made plenty of sense to me and saw it done once in the playground at school and I have never forgotten and still that story to this day. I walked home from school that with the fellow that walked away and I couldn't stop telling him how awesome it was what he had done. They called him a chicken and a coward , still, he walked away. To be so brave , huh? There is also this and I must be honest about it. I feel that if I ever got into it I would not stop until it was really, really over. You know what I mean? Yes I talk that foolish man talk about doing this and that to another but in the end I know I would walk away or back off. In defense of another the rules might change. If it's an unfair incident I won't just stand by. I have worked in a bar and have learned that my mouth can stop a good many fights. I can lift 200 pounds with my mouth, do you believe that? OK, how about a toothpick with an olive on one end? Could you believe that? No gin tho, did a bottle of gin back in the seventies and that was I all I ever need of that. Drier than a popcorn ( pardon) fart in the Sahara Desert I was the next day. The story is this. I was transferring some of my old 45 records over to cassette tapes ( dated this is) , having a drink or two, or three or... of this bottle of gin I had won and the next thing you, no I, know, no, knew the bottle was gone. Never again the next morning I said and never again have I. Heck, I like beer and rum better anyway. I did get my work done tho. I just ended up eventually transferring some of that music over to CDs. Times do change you know. I forgot to mention that there was a sign attached to the back of my shirt when I was done. See what happens when you drink that dry gin? The sign read - genius at work. Yes siree I certainly felt like a genius the next morning. With this some words of wisdom - don't drink a full bottle of dry gin by yourself. I wouldn't even allow my camel to drink it. Sahara , camel, get it? Oh well, I tried. So went to the oasis and all they had was dry gin and so I died of thirst. Think so? By the way, my camel's name is Sandy. See Gord, just what we all need now and then. A little foolishness and maybe a laugh. Maybe it was funny, I don't know , but I said it anyway.

Yes Gord you are so right, people can be too serious. As I said to you many times, I can be but it is just in that moment for I can't be serious too long. I hear the news on the radio, read it in the paper and hear it from others ( I do talk to a good many people in my short travels) and do express my concerns and anger but in the end I don't allow it to rule my life anymore for I am in charge of that now. I have a full understanding now of what is important to me and what is not. I need not allow these things to so overcome me that I fear each day because of it. I am at a point in my life where these things have their place and have to be dealt with but it is not the be-all or end-all as to how I should lead my life. I had a couple of extra moments at work tonight ( sssh, don't tell anyone) and sat on a couch and dozed as I did so and thought afterwards that if I were to die at that moment it would be OK. Now folks I don't know how you see that, don't know how you feel about me but I say it in truth. I could have died at that moment and been content to do so. What a way to go. How most fear death instead of accepting it as it will be. Is it because of things we have done? How we act at this moment? A fear that we are not as we should be? if that is the case than you will not understand what I say here tonight. Sorry, but you won't for you may not be where you should be. You are not who you should be or want to be. You might not understand life and what it is. Now folks, I am just saying what has been given to me to say for I had no intention of being here tonight. Just a thought that Gord might have something to say, he did, and so here I am. I f not for Gord you would be reading a blank screen. How often do we , come to think of it, read a blank screen. That blank screen being ourselves. Do we really know who we are? Do we really strive to be what we want to be to ourselves? In the mirror do we see a blank screen? Do we take the few words said , as Gord did tonight, think about them and say what we see? Do we listen well to others as we should?

I said to Gord the other night in our conversation, by phone no less, that I haven't been saying much on our blog ( our blog for any who would like to share) for I had not heard from him. Gord , like most of us get caught up in things and we put the little things off. I asked him for but five minutes or so and he did and so here I am. That's all it take from any of us is that few minutes and how we can inspire another. I think I can safely say now that you can all see how my brother Gord can inspire me ( for what it is worth I must say for I cannot speak for you all but I do know it is for me.) There is more at work here as well if you can but believe for I am no great 'shakes' when it comes to writing or expressing myself well. There is a guiding hand in here somewhere. It's all about us I would add as well. I don't do this for me at all for I know where I am and I sometimes try to convince myself that I need no others. That would be all about me now wouldn't it? Something I don't believe in at all. This world is all about us and the sooner we see that the sooner we can change the way things are. It's the only way folks.

Sorry I don't have any pictures to share tonight. It was a damp old dreary rainy day and I was not in a mood to venture out. It was not a bad mood but one of melancholy, pensiveness or sadness. Things I had read about got to me. One story came our of Afghanistan where a husband killed his wife because she had a second girl. It seems they don't like to have girls cause they can get more out of boys. First thing I thought - it take two to make babies and how one-side this fool of a man was and secondly - if there are no girls born - how do we have boys? We gonna create a man who can deliver babies? I ain't gonna be your partner that's for sure. I ain't gonna marry you either. I wonder what part of their anatomy they think with? No different in India ( world's largest so-called democracy - ha to that) and other places as well. Just want the boys to make some money, is that it? How vile you all are. All about 'me' written all over you I will say. Sorry, I have no time for you at all. This honor thing as well - what do you know about honor anyway? You were given a live as a gift and this is how you spent it? You will pay someday for it. A one raped and she is charged with adultery? What side of the moon do you people see? can be the bright side for you are not so bright yourselves. You are but candles in the wind and candles in the win know no light. Gonna kill me now are you for telling you the truth? You poor excuses for whatever you are. That's all you know is all about poor me. Look to those who in our history have given their lives for others and then look in your mirrors and feel your shame. You people surely bring out the anger in me. As I have repeatedly said , I am no great shakes and really nobody at all but I do know right from wrong, justice from injustices and fairness from unfairness. I said earlier I do not want to fight but tries these on me and see if I change my mind. I might surely lose but I will win in the end for I will have fought for the right of things. Even in death I will do so. Folks I am not trying to be dramatic in any sense here for it is but how I see it all and what I might do. I just abide injustice and unfairness, can't at all. Sorry , I have gone somewhere here that I did not have any intention of going but as I have said so many times before when I get on this here blog I am given things to say. Yes of me but then not of me. can you understand that? I am but the pen to the paper.

Then there is this gender neutral thing some people have going on. Now what the hell is that? Want us all to be bi-sexual, is that it? Why is it that we humans, unlike the other creatures of this world, not be satisfied with what we have been given instead of trying to manipulate it to our desires or foolish ideas? I believe it we best spend our time in an understanding of what we have been given and where it leads to. If everyone tries to make things the way they want it to be, where would we be but in chaos and fighting with each other all the time in disagreement. Look at technology. I have a computer that was redundant when I bought it. Outdated at the time of purchase. Oh dear me! What am I to do? Buy another , crate more waste and fill the pockets of those who sell these things? Is that it? Is that what life has become? Sell junk so the rich can become richer and we to keep following this line of trash over and over again? Technology is a good thing, I have no doubt but lets add a little wisdom to what is going on here. Me, I would rather spend my time ( I once spent a good deal of time on computer technology) on understand the life I have been given and what part nature pays in it. When I die I won't be taking my computer, I pod. I phone or whatever with me. I will be taking the wisdom of what I have learned about life with me. I have a computer but I use it wisely - as a tool which it was meant to be and not away of life as so many use it for. I have a simple car - something to get me from A to B not to show others who I might be. I am no showboat I am as I present myself , no lies, ploys just who I am. I don't need those things that most, today, use to show a status. I do what I do and I am who I am. No false pretenses, no fooling around, just me b'y. I want nothing at all but what I need. Can you understand that? I don't need attention as in fame, don't want it cause I would not know what to do with it. The only reason I would like lots of money so I could spend it on others. Do things to help others. I was once told , by a fool, that if I had lots of money I would change my tune. I call this a person a fool for they say me as them and not me. No I would feel guilty if I had the money and thought of me only. Take that to the bank folks for it is as true as it will ever get.

Oh how I am talking about Jon B'y here tonight. Please understand that this is not what it is all about. I would be so embarrassed if you thought so. I don't want or need any accolades from anyone. I actually despise the thought. I am just trying to instill in you all how we should all be. Accepted as so with no fanfare. It is what we are all meant to be and do.

Don't care if you believe in God, Allah, Ra, or whoever as long as you believe something or one created us for a purpose. Don't care even if you disagree with them/it ( I do.) Just understand that we just didn't happen to be here. My son does and I and we have a problem with that. He sticks to science and it's understanding of life even with it's falsies. I have another brother who says the same - we are just here to do an die. No reason or purpose in that. Certainly not when our science tells us that everything else has a purpose and then denies that we do not if you believe in a Creator. Science constricts itself when it can't explain something. I, the bumblebee ( note my address) should not be able to fly but they/I do. I don't fly physically but in my case it is all about common sense. Bumblebees fly, why, because they can when science says they should not. I told this to some young ones a few years ago and they saw it and I hope that take it with them through their lives. They saw enough so that they made me cards of bumblebees and wished me on my way. Told me they had learned so much from me and told them I had learned so much from them. Now, is that not the way to teach each other? We have forsaken the children for we know not how to teach them. We have lost the fact that they can teach us as well. At least remind us of how we once were. Once were, open to our imagination, so ready to learn, so awed at what life was and what could be. Yes, Gord, too serious we have become with age. I have said over and over again that I have stopped my age ( in mind) at nineteen and yes my body has grown older but that moment I have stayed with. A moment of bliss and happiness but also a place to be now. Times have changed but thoughts have not and so I will remain there for ever more tho my body fails me and age has it's way. What I saw and how I felt will always be with me. So, nineteen in mind I am and the eyes I looked into. The way I felt and ... I will just leave it at that.

Folks, all I can say, if I may,, is that we take the time to stand back look at ourselves, what we have going and what it is worth to us. Look at those around you and see how fortunate you are to have them. Let your love, their love grow from it. Don't ever question whether the grass is greener on the other side for as Van Morrison once wrote - "... it is meaner.." If you do you will always be searching for that which will never be. Understand what you have now and what it means to you. Put some effort into it for nothing in life comes free, it takes an effort to get what you want. In this world today we see how easy it is to dump and go on. Families , marriages, businesses and all else and only because an effort was lost or never installed. We came into life in an effort, that of birth and we should understand that that was also a lesson of life and that lesson is - life is an effort one way or another. Put in the effort or run away. Lot of people in prison or some addiction who did not see the truth in what I say. I grew up in a family of booze and tho I still love my drink I do understand the different reasons for so. Wanna party - bring on the rum. Wanna argue - leave the booze out of it.

I am done here for tonight. Take me or leave me I just do what I do - just do what I feel I am meant to do. Don't question it , but hold the phone here a moment, sometimes I do. I am not sure why and I have to question myself as to that . Seems like I have to wonder why I do. Sometimes I even feel bad about what I have had to say. Something in the air it seems. An influence or a truth told? Hell, I say it anyway. As I have done here tonight. I will fly with that as a bumblebee does when it is told it shouldn't fly. Common sense - don't let it prevent you from getting off and soaring to place you have never been. Those children believed and so why can't you?

No pictures but I , if I may, say picture the bumblebee as it works , flies and with effort in what it does. What it brings to all of us. The dog as well as it shows how to forgive and forget. How it brings laughter and a wagging tail to prove it. How you can scold them and the moment - ask them to come to you and they do with that tail a-waggin'. So much we can learn from those we deem less intelligent. So I ask, how intelligent are we? Really?

Hi All,

Yes Gord constructive conversation can be a very good thing and entertaining as well. As I said to you , I love to talk of things. As for few laughs, there is and must always be time for that. I see laughter and fun as being a form of medicine. Doesn't come in a bottle to be taken or have a bitter taste. Greatest thing in the world fend off or cope with depression. No matter how serious the conversation I always make it a point to say that little thing that comes to mind to dull the edges of the topic of matter. The world is a wreck but one should not allow it to take our laughter from us. We are truly lost if that should happen. I use it a great deal at work for it gets me through some very aggravating times. Keep chuckling, Gord, for uit will help you through.

Oh how the wealthy the can be so hard done by. Like spoiled brats they want it all - most anyway. I have had my say about this for many years. Always wondered why those who could pay get most , if not all, all of the free stuff. Same with their perks. You do know that this is a formula for disaster some day? As we see the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer I must ask where the money is going to come from to make the wealthy - wealthier? Could be some day the poor will come looking for their fair share and then where will we be. Like Governments wasting and squandering the taxes and such they take ( and steal) from us one day the well will run dry. What will they do then? It is a known fact that taxes and the cost of goods as well keep going up and yet peoples wages are , for the most part, stagnant - there, another formula for disaster. Doesn't anyone see this? Are they so all about me that they are blinded to it? Looks to me like a formula for revolution. Oh, I see it has already started in some parts of the world. I rest my case.

It is to cry, all of this, but I would rather laugh. You see when you see life as I do one can do this. One must talk about it and do what they can but in the end put it in perspective and that being this - no matter what we think we want one can get in life it is but only temporary for the day will come when we will leave it all behind. Ah but, I will take my laughter with me. I will take with me the fact that I had my say, tried to do what I could and allow myself to be judged on that. Life is but to die you know. Just how you do it and what you do that counts.

I do know that it is not as easy as that but without effort nothing ever gets done. Life is an effort, it was an effort to get here and so one must see in that that life is some sort of effort. The fools are running the show now but I would rather be as I am than to be a fool who does not see and doesn't understand that of we. The world surely is of us and not just me. No caring in all about me. No love in all about me. No real understanding in all about me. Yes, we have to be concerned with me at some level but see that as making me better so I can see the we better. How I see it anyway. Helps one to get through those bad days as well.

So folks, I, if I may, suggest we all look at ourselves and see if we are so perfect that we are as good as we can be in our understanding of ourselves, others and how we should make this journey of life that is ours. Be truthful and honest with yourself and the answer will come. Gord, we discussed this the other night and I do hope you understood what I was trying to say. I do also think it helped both in some way. Did me anyway for again I had to look at me and what I am trying to do. One thing I do know and that is that when we talk I seem to grow a little stronger. One must look closely at me but we do need help from others for I don't believe we are meant to do it on our own.

Hi Folks, Hi Gord,

Been low keyed for awhile. Contemplating whether it was worth saying anything at all. Well people don't listen well or heed at all and so I thought what is the purpose of saying at all. A friend of mine said to me the other day in the park, as we walked, that we are nothing but cattle to those who seek wealth. He is right for in this world of ours the majority work for the few and their gain. Yes cattle we are and fools to boot. We elect people to serve us and in the end we serve them. Cattle we are. This thing those we elect call democracy is nothing but a tool they use to coral and shackle us with. The term democracy is a tool they use to con and reel us in. We are nothing but the bait they use to fish for what THEY want and let this be known - the bait never wins. Here in this country of mine they call it Canadian Democracy - what the f..k is that suppose to mean? Is democracy something to pick and choose? Call me what you want but I don't dig that, don't dig it at all. This world is about all of us and so let us be just that - all about us and ditch that all about me for all about me will lead us where...? We see and read, here about it everyday those who ( CEOs , Politicians etc.) who defend there positions - all about me - and try to make feel so hard done by they are. How long are we going to be fools to this"?   Conned by those who say they serve? Rise up, rise up above that which is false and will lead to our end. We have the numbers to say and so let us say or find the bottom of a hole which you cannot get out of. There are the few who which to rule in this world, those all about them who seek control but it is us who give them this control in our apathy and our, "what can you do about it?" They know us and they play us and so it goes. And as Gary said to me in the park that day - we are but cattle to them. Are we? I am not , how about you? Gonna sit in a field chewing your cud not knowing when your day will come or knowing that your day will come and what did you do prior to? One can die for nothing, nothing at all or die for for something and so I write. Face the fire or burn. I will say anything I feel is right on my blog and there may be consequences but face them I will for ion truth and honesty I speak - know or see it I will say anyway. I stand in truth. I fear nothing because I do. I may pay or those who dispute may, matters not if then truth be known. Shoot me in the morning for what I say tonight - no matter for I have I have spoken the truth as I know it. I will stand by what I say. Can you?

I repeat - I was once told by someone I work with that they try not to lie. Did they think they were talking to a fool? But then again how people do not see in themselves what they do not see in others. Lie - well this person concocts them. How many times has she said to me - this is what we will tell them. I say what is wrong with the truth? I am not Adam and she is not Eve. I see the snake but I let it abide for the snake is not off me , maybe Eve , but not of me. Something I say here but not really of me to say for I know the day. Just saying, but who is understandin"?

Folks - it has been said that life is not a destination but a journey. It is so. Life is but to live and then to die. Fact. So what is it all about? I can give no answers here but that I I feel it is. Matter of opinion I suppose. Yes I do suppose for I do no know. Does anyone? One thing I do know, as fact, is that all that around us is and purpose known - science tells us so. The only question here is what purpose we humans hold. Take the equation of humans out of life out of the factor of life and purpose, reason and what do we have? We have a world in harmony and what it be. What is our purpose in being here then?   We are but a cancer being here and destroying and devouring in the search for wealth and power - those things we cannot take with us. So, what is our purpose when we seek that which we cannot take with us when we go?   I leave that question up to you to answer for it is in this this blog that I will find mine. Pay attention class! Ha!Ha!

Hi All,

Gord has me going as I can't can't seem to find the pictures he is talking about. I suggest you give him heck. Imagine that? Course I have been told I can get lost in a cul de sac. Not really, just take my time getting around and around in getting out. So Gord I guess this is a phone matter. No worry folks I will let you know what transpires WHEN Gord calls me. Hear me Gord - call me or forever leave me in a dilemma. Screwed up more like. Better to be screwed up than to come uncorked. Does that make any sense? Listening to Counting Crows and well one really has to listen to them. Yeah Mr. Jones we do tell each other fairy tales but let that not be the truth to all matters. Let us be more truthful with each other. Let us be open to truth and in so let us draw ourselves closer to each other. Only in truth can we come together as it should be. Way I see it anyway.

You know folks there is no sense in talking to those who would not listen. I have been away here a bit - did you notice? I was having a discussion about death. That inevitable thing and what it is about. I could talk to a tree and get better results. As I see it. We live to die and not die to live. That being so what is life really about? It's about living till we die. As I said , when I meet St. Peter ( don't have to believe) how will I present myself? Don't need a St. Peter, irreverent, just need to present myself as I lived. So I say to St. Peter I used people, lied and deceived to get my way, look for only money, power, fame and fun. What do you think He would say? I would say, get ye back and try it again. I don't want to come back anymore, I want to go on. Don't need to come back here anymore. You don't believe in this , well, fine, that is your choice to make and I will not argue with you. Just leave me with my view of things as I would leave you. Just because I don't agree doesn't mean you should crucify me. I would not you. So where are the dancers? Life does go on and I am ready to party. Powder Blues Band - yeah I am trying to do it right. Time to crank ' er , there you go. I am on the wrong side of town but trying to do it right. I guess you have to know the song. Look up The Powder Blues Band would be my suggestion. I went to one of their concerts one time and a party broke out - dancing we were and a great time had by all. Had to be in the right place. A night to remember it was and so I do. That certainly was doin' it right. Some people just know how to party. The people around here don't know how to party and I have to get back to that place. That place, a place called Newfoundland, they call it the 'rock' and it sure does know how to rock. Know how to call you friend ( ask the Americans during 9/11, some came back and bought property, others are still in contact with those they met.) Let me that be the place I fulfill my days. Wasn't born there but my heart and soul are there just waiting to catch up with them. I just need someone to take me there. I know the road to go.

Now , what else. Any dancers out there? Sorry I am a one man dancer most times. Just wondering is all. Sometimes one has to take what they get and that is no disrespect intended but some times one knows who they want to dance with. Save the last waltz and all. 'maybe something you should think about. It's all there before you if you wish to see it. Don't take for granted what you have for it may be gone tomorrow. Take the time to evaluate what you have and measure it against what you think you might want. As Van Morrison said in song - something about the grass being meaner than greener on the other side. Tis true you know. How easy it is to criticize what we have rather than try to understand what we have and live to a commitment in that. How easy it is to toss things out thinking that there is something better. In some cases that is true but in most it is not. We just lack the effort to work at what we already have. How many times do I hear at work the complaints about things and yet they don't realize what they have. I am tired of telling them about it. No one wants to cooperate with each other anymore and so they adopt this childish, immature and irresponsible behavior. Don't tell me I am wrong here for I live it everyday. Tired of pointing it out to them and well. No need to tell the truth for it falls on deaf ears. How are your ears? I won't say cause I know already. Been around, been uptown and downtown and I know for I ask my questions and I do observe. Do my homework I do.

Now I might seem a little ( or a whole lot) animated in what I say here but sometimes that is what it takes. Don't need to be saying this for I already know these things. So who do I say it for? Just doin' it right on the right on the wrong side of town. Who am I to say so? Nobody really but I do see what I see and do say what I say. Ruffle your feathers, I will try to do but as we teach children so I do what I do. Teach your children well and teach your parents well. Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. So true what they wrote.

Does anyone really listen to the music or should I say the message within? Don't think so or we would be so much farther along ( The Byrds) than we are in this world. So many things said , song and wrote and so many things ignored. How well educated we are!!! How far we have fallen behind. How pitiful we have become. The world in a mess and no thought of tomorrow and so we sink deeper and deeper in our want and not our need. Like the coffee shop ad I saw today - it's not just coffee, it's your coffee - please I am no fool to your ploys or cons anymore. It's not at all about me. It's about we. I don't have concerns about me , but I have concerns about you. Can you understand that? I ask. I know where I am , do you? I write this blog because I do know where I am and there is no fear in that, only concern for you. I am where I am because I chose to learn of life , people and things. Asked to be as truthful and honest as I could be. No regrets in saying so - no fear. I expose all that I am so that I may be free. I am not a religious person as we are taught to perceive for I do not believe in any man made religions be it any of those imposed on me by those whom wish to control. I look , I listen and and I make my own decisions. I would never wrap a bomb around myself and call myself a martyr for the sake of those who would not do the same. I would not look at a priest or reverend and say you are in the truth for in most cases you are not. I take from all and make my own decisions. I see religion as just another form of government - all for me and what I can get. The Bible and the Koran ( for examples) have taught many things and what do we take from them? Do we really take the truth as to what is said or do we take what want to make us feel good and holy? Do we read between the lines as to what is being said and get the truth from that. This world tells me no. Just a tool to be used to justify the wrong we do. Better to argue the words then to understand them. Better to argue events stated then to understanding the meaning. Whether Jesus Christ died on a cross is irrelevant but what is relevant is what is to be learned from such a thing. So many times we miss the point and dwell on that which does not matter. I know for I live in that kind of hell and I must live with it. What do I do? I try to see and learn from it and know in the end I will be better for it. Not an easy thing I would add but nothing is ever gained without effort. Makes me stronger as well. Now you might know where I come from.

I am writing this now but I am not in despair, could be, but in the learning I am becoming freer and I play my songs as I write. Hard to understand I am sure but where I am, I am learning and becoming more accepting of things as they are. You see it is in acceptance that we lessen ourselves of worry and fret. I am a little sad but down and out I will never be anymore - in fact I am a little happy. I enjoy my company and in that what can one say? Feeling good in what I do , no fear, no regrets and so there I go.

Taking about go, I have to. A project to finish tomorrow. Nice to be with and work with my brother. I enjoyed it today. Not a good day to do outside work but just being together made it all worthwhile. I look forward to tomorrow and I will have something to say about it. Have to let him know how I feel and a job well done. The least I can do.

Hi folks, hi Gord,

Now Gord who is messing with who's head? i has to figure out which pictures you are talking about cause I don't have those numbers you mentioned. By Saturday night I may have it figured out. I don't have a great deal of time till then as I have that project to do for mom. Weather permitting of course. Hope to get a start on things tomorrow morning so I can't be late here tonight.

Back to the pictures. Gord, there is no right or wrong in what you see in the pictures. It's all about what you ( and Deb) see. I take them as I see them and present them to you all for you to see what you can see. It does make for great discussion and I enjoy it as well and along with the other topics we discuss. It is human thing to do - talk with one another about various things. We are social creatures and that is part of our make up. Too little of it today as I see it. No time to chat and discuss. People text and go on the net but what do they really talk about?

Back to the pictures again. We are all equal in a good many ways but it is a good thing that we are not in all ways for we would bore ourselves to death. I can't remember the exact quote I read years ago but it said that we all equal in many things but also different, it is the differences that we should celebrate. I do concur. One has to be open-minded to understand what this means for with out an open mind we could never discuss our differences or learn from them.

If a tree falls in the forest, does anybody hear? Does anybody care? Does anybody hear the forest fall? Does anyone care about their home? Got nothing to make a resolution for? How about the above? Got someplace else to go if you don't? Will you take me with you? Cause I don't know where that is.

Will it be just like this world - all for me , greed, power and fame? If so I think I will stay behind. Don't need anymore of the same old s..t. Might just as well move on in a different direction. Serve me better I think.

Oh down am I? No not really, ready to party. You just don't get it. What happens to this world of ours matters not to me for I cannot take it with me. What matters is what I can take with me and what I can do while I am here. So, lets party. Stand before what may come and and accept it. Can you do that? Don't think so. I see you running from it trying to find a place to hide. Panic will set in and you will fall all over yourselves trying to get away. Been in a few situations myself. Never ran tho, just took it in stride. Let it be what will be is my motto. No need to panic, just accept it and what you can do. Accept the fact that you may die or not. No need to run for it will get you nowhere. Get out of the way if you can but if you can't take it as it comes. Many heroes died on the battle field because of what I say. Where do you think I leaned it from? I just don't make these things up, I stop, look, listen and hear. I learn from these things. So many things of life we can learn from if we have the mind to. Just passing it on as I have done and do. A new year, think about what I have said, not from me so much, but from what others have taught me.

Hi Folks, Hi Gord,

First of all Folks, Gord now knows that picture #40 is part of the collection. There you go.

Tomorrow is New years eve and I have to wonder what all the fuss is about? Is it going to be any different then the last bunch? I would have to say no. I was looking at a poem I was given to write about four , almost five, years ago and I can say that around here nothing has changed much. Not much in the world as I see it also. I will reprint it and you tell me if I am not correct. I am sure tho that maybe a few may have caught on. It's for this reason that I don't write much anymore. I will repeat again and again - I am no great 'shakes' but I can see what is going on around me. I take the time to do so. I put in some time to think on it. So will say.

A New Year coming and I will reflect what I try to and do here. Might be time to shut it up and go with the flow. Well, I could never go with the flow because the flow doesn't know where it is going for the most part anyway. Most people don't know where they are going and why for what we do in life stays here for the most part. Any money made, materials gained will all stay behind and so I wonder where most people are going? Could be we are all part of some experiment gone wrong and we're just here as nothing more than part of that experiment. It is a thought. But something, something keeps reminding me it is not. Call it a faith, a belief or anything you want for that matter, but something in my soul keeps telling me to hang on for the answer will come. I sure hope so. I don't see life as it is with people doing what they do to each other, the foolishness of wealth ( money), power and fame that you can't take with you as making much sense. It's certainly not in harmony with the rest of nature. It's out of whack. How I see it anyway.

Back again. Music playing and so am I. Good feelings on the go. Just got back from dinner at a friend's place. Good time and good conversation. Things learned as well and some changes seen. Yes the conversation was good and therein was the change. Don't I just love a good and fair conversation. Didn't use to be that way but now, well, took a little knocking and a shut door for awhile but with some give and take we reached this day. Yes a good time it was. Something learned as well.

Great day as well all round. Sunny skies and a moon tonight. A bright day, almost as bright as me if 25 watts can be considered bright. Well , if I can't pick on me, who can I pick on? I am brighter than that tho - say, 35 watts. Gord, would you agree? Anybody else? The air seems bright as well. Can that be? What is there that can be that we refuse to believe? So much going on around us that we do not see or wish to see and believe. I know I keep saying this but it's still not enough. I feel I have to share what I have found. If you think this is nutty, well, then I hope you find that too. Do you good.

Gord, I went to the beach today with Archie ( Timmy didn't want to go) and did some thinking about what I had said earlier about wants and needs. Did , still not quite there but with a hand that guides I will proceed anyway ( more going on then we may think as I say.) trying to find the right way to put it. In what you said I sense a feeling of purpose. It's seems that sometimes we put more importance on things to do ( feel we need to do) and let slide what we see as the want. At times I look around and say to myself - that is what I need be doing but I want to go to the park ( for example) and go to the park only to realize this is really what I need be doing and those other things can wait. So in your case maybe going out and taking pictures is the need and those other things the wants. Remember the want will always be or seem to be the greater. Want a Rolls Royce but end up with a little sedan. You needed a car and so the sedan met that need. Sometimes in that want we don't see the true in the satisfying the need. When one is starving to death one does not look at the want but the need and will take what is offered. If we spend our time in search or satisfying that want where will that lead us because you can't always get what you want. is that not so?

Got to thinking about music as I walked the beach, Gord. Got to thinking of some songs of my youth - just came to mind on the air or out of the blue. Got to thinking (again) about how our generation 'copped - out' and how we didn't listen well, see well and so here we are today in this world that we helped make worse. Hey Gord, remember the song - Journey To The Center of Your Mind - Amboy Dukes ( I believe and I don't know label either - had it on one of those KeTel specials. Then there was - Just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in - Kenny Rogers and The 1st Edition. Barry McGuire's - What's exactly the matter with me. Flip side of Eve of Destruction ( 45 - folks) and RCA label ( yes Gord, I know you know) and of course Eve of Destruction. Confused yet, folks? Ask Gord, he knows. Ha! Ha! Got ya. Anyway this is serious stuff. I wonder how many of my generation really listened to these songs, these thoughts and yes maybe messages? Not many as we can see. Even the song Eve Of Destruction is more valid today then then one might say. Change a few words here and there and yes, still relevant. How well did we listen, what did we see and what have we done? Made it worse as I see it. There is some good I see as well but that is overshadowed by the greed and all about 'me' that we have created. The lost spirituality. No, we did not learn much and in fact made a mockery of our youth and what we used to believe and saw a right. Baited and hooked by that self-satisfying that consumed most and those seeds now grow and we pass them on to our children. As each new generation came and comes along this wrongness will grow and one day we will all wonder - "What The Hell Happened?" I see it now - how long will it take you to see it"

P. F. Sloan wrote Eve of Destruction ( a protest song) and another song I got into - Take Me For What I Am Worth. He committed suicide. I have wondered about that and today I wonder if was all about not being understood? To write such songs and not be understood must be a terrible thing. Maybe too much in his case. Del Shannon, they say killed himself because he was not recognized for the songs he wrote other than one song - Runaway. He wrote much better songs than that. Weren't as catchy but better. Understood by me for so very, very few really listen to the words in a song. They can sing along all right but don't have a clue what they are singing and what it says. How many times have I pointed out in a song something worthwhile listening to and have someone say, " I didn't realize that?" I love to dance but I can listen as well. Hey, Gord, is that multitasking or what? Can't hear what is said in a song, what else can you not hear? Just saying.

Gord, had a complement passed on my shed by a carpenter. Rob, next door, told me. Sometimes I get it right or so it seems. A work of art it be. Hardy-har-har!!!!

Still upbeat for as serious as it gets I can handle it. Stomp my foot, say what I say and spit into the wind cause I am only here to move on someday and so take it all as it comes. It comes with age and the stuff we ( if we choose) take in and analyze and put to use and mind. To you who criticize age, I would ask what you want if not to grow old for that is what life offers at best as far as mortality is concerned. Best listen to what you say and how you criticize something that, I am sure, you will see some day. Maybe you like the second choice, is that it? Hopefully you will grow old enough to understand what I say.

Got some posers for ya Gord and who ever else is out there. Have to have some fun. So, does a date palm really date and does a date palm? Does a spruce tree really get 'spruced up?' Now does an apple really pine? Will a sunflower ever go nova? If I tap my phone will I be able get water from it?

And now:

If I plant weeds, will I get flowers? Will I ever find that answer that is blowing in the wind? Will the day come when I can believe what a politician says? Will I ever trust again?

Two sides to it all and both must be accepted. If not talk to P.F. Sloan and Del Shannon about it.

My answer to it all - love, truth and honesty. Just saying.

Thank you Gord for the encouragement and inspiration to continue the pictures and what I try to do. I feel very certain that we all need to encourage and try to inspire each other for I don't believe for a minute that we are meant to travel life's road alone. We don't have to gather an army but we do need someone. Thanks Gord.

Gord, if I may, ( course I will) make comment on something you said. I would see it another way and that is not to argue with you. You said that you will try to do things you want to do and not what you feel you need to do. Could it not be that the want is really the need and the need but the want? Maybe some of those things are needs and not wants.See, there you go again giving me food for thought and that is a good thing. A good thing in in that I know I do not travel this road of life alone.

It seems there is more to say here but it has not come to light yet and so I will go with the 'boys' and do some pondering and hope to be back later this evening if all goes well and of course, I get some enlightenment on the subject. it is nice and sunny out , so there you go.

Hi Folks, Hi Gord,

Well Gord I do keep going on and there are times when I winder why. Here tonight I was going to say - NOTHING, but now because of you I see I do have something to say.

You, Gord, you don't always have the time to get out and see. Well what can I say about that? Yes you do? True. But on the other hand let what you are doing rule your life. I don't care, for I do it anyway. I will no longer be dictated to what this world says I should be and do. The world is in a mess and so why I should be if only because I should tow the line. The world wants to go down hill, well let it do do, but I am going up hill to see what is on the other side. Want to be a fool, well, follow the world as it agonizes in it's pitifullest. Tell I am so!!! Just read the newspapers, TV or radio and now tell me I am wrong? Tell me I am wrong but who are you fooling? Sorry, it's not me. So who? Fools are running the show and so fools will bring us down. Oh, not me for I have prepared myself for it all. Pour me a drink and a good cigar and I will sit and watch it all go down. Smile on my face - not one of I told you so but one of acceptance. Knowing in it all where I am going. Can anyone of you dig that? Can you even imagine what I say here? Sorry but I think there are very few who could. I would tell you why but would you listen? Would you understand? Don't think so Tim. Sad it is but it is.

Gord, you can set off things in me. But, but is it really me for I but a lowly messenger, so what could it be? Am I not but repeating what has been said by others over the ages? Ah! can it be? Nothing new but something of old remembered and passed on? Something learned and understood? Does it really matter how or why if in the end it is understood and acted on? I would say no and credit is not applicable. Just an understanding and a change for the better. How simple that is but how hard it is to accomplish. How few ears hear and how so many eyes are blind. Sad night on the late night show it is.

Speaking of late - 3:18 - gotta go. Have some pics taken as my faithful buddy ( Archie) and I visited our old friend again today ( Timmy stayed home) - the beach. Rainbow Haven it is called. Archie and I used to go there so often when he was a pup. It was one of the first places I introduced him to and so memories come to mind. Used to go there all the time until Timmy came along. There is a trap and skeet club near by and the gun shots scared Timmy and so we stopped going there. It's a good place for Archie for when he goes there he just goes and in his element. You should see him. That look on his face tells it all. They may miss me in the park but I see we have to go back to that old friend of ours - THE beach. Look at the pics I took and try to see what I mean. A haven it is and so Gord, let you find your haven and see where your priorities lie. Let not the world's priorities run your day, let you run your day. I have passed up some overtime this week ( could use it and all) but I said no in both cases for it got in the way. I don't want money but I need it but I need something else more so. I'll leave it at that.
